Classic Residence by Hyatt Communities Win 'Best Places to Work' Awards

Employees Are Proud to Work for the Leader in Luxury Living for Older Adults

CHICAGO, IL, OCTOBER 05, 2007

Classic Residence by Hyatt, the leading provider of luxury living for older adults, announces its Hilton Head Island and Scottsdale communities were both recently named one of the “Best Places to Work” in their respective locations.

TidePointe, A Classic Residence by Hyatt (Hilton Head Island) was recently named as one of the 2007 Best Places to Work in South Carolina. This survey and award program, created by SCBIZ in partnership with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)—South Carolina State Council, the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce, SCJobnetwork.com, and Best Companies Group, was designed to identify, recognize, and honor the top employers in South Carolina, benefiting the state's economy, workforce, and businesses.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking.

TidePointe, A Classic Residence by Hyatt, joins a group of esteemed local businesses in this ranking, including companies such as AgFirst Farm Credit Bank, American Stainless & Supply, and Johnson & Johnson, Inc., CMGA.

Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies (Scottsdale) was doubly recognized earlier this year; the community was ranked the #1 Independent/Assisted Living Community in Arizona for the sixth consecutive year in Arizona Business magazine. It was also ranked #19 of the “Best Places to Work in the Valley 2006” contest sponsored by the Phoenix Business Journal.

“Our employees uphold our core values of integrity, compassion, and excellence in our communities every day,” said Diane Cook, vice president of human resources, Classic Residence by Hyatt. In fact, the company’s latest employee satisfaction survey reveals that 88% of staff are proud to be employed by Classic Residence by Hyatt and would recommend it as a good place to work. “These awards demonstrate our employees’ pride in their work and their excellence externally, and we are very proud of their efforts.” For more information on career opportunities at Classic Residence by Hyatt, please visit http://www.hyattclassic.com/go/company-careers.html.
