Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies Receives National Honors

Luxury Senior Living Company Recognizes Scottsdale Community with Team and Executive Director of the Year Awards

Classic Residence by Hyatt, a national leader in luxury senior living, named the management team and executive director Gail Rankin of the company’s Scottsdale community Team of the Year for a continuing care retirement community (CCRC) and Executive Director of the Year for a CCRC at the company’s annual meeting, which was held on May 24 in Scottsdale, Ariz.

Each year, Classic Residence by Hyatt nationally honors two communities and executive directors for excellence in leadership, teamwork, and overall achievement from Classic Residence by Hyatt communities across the nation. This year, the community earned top honors in both categories.

“The Scottsdale team has done a remarkable job of achieving its goals by reducing operating costs and saving our residents money,” said Bill Sciortino, senior vice president of operations, Classic Residence by Hyatt. “The team has set the gold standard for all of our communities.”

The company also recognized Rankin for her leadership and accomplishments at Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies. Rankin was recognized for developing talent among her staff and creating a great working environment for her team. Rankin brings 24 years  of health care management experience to Classic Residence by Hyatt and The Plaza Companies. “Gail represents our community with style and dignity. She is also very much invested in the growth of her team and the care of our residents,” noted Sciortino.

Opal Paden, sales director at the Scottsdale community, also received a nomination for Sales Director of the Year.
